DISPLACEMENT SENSORS

DISPLACEMENT / POSITION / DISTANCE TRANSDUCERS

Laboratory & Field Measurements / Research Project / Tests

TDG offers a wide range of displacement, position and distance sensor options. These transducers provide the most effective solution for a great variety of fields such as laboratories, machinery and structural health monitoring.

TDG Engineers will provide you with the best support for correct sensor selection that effectively fits the project requirements, integrated with the data acquisition system (datalogger) and software for a full testing set.

Linear Potentiometric Displacement Sensors

Potentiometric transducers work in resistive voltage divider principle. Main advantages of these transducers are their long mechanical life, high precision and cost-advantage. They can be manufactured in many various models and measuring ranges. TDG has been presented potentiometric transducers as an alternative solution against LVDTs to Turkish research projects & universities for the first time because of their installation flexibility, durability and low cost. Since then potentiometers became the first choice among laboratories for displacement measurements.

Potentiometric transducers are fully compatible with TESTBOX2010 / TESTBOX1001 series data acquisition (DAQ) systems, providing the highest resolution and repeatability when used with these dataloggers.

Models

  • Linear Motion Transducers With Circular Body
  • Linear Motion Transducers With Spring Reaction
  • Double Jointed  Linear Motion Transducers
  • Single Jointed Linear Motion Transducers
  • Draw-Wire Potentiometric Transducers
LVDT's (Linear Variable Differential Transformer)

LVDTs work in Inductive Measurement principle. They provide advantages such as high accuracy, high repeatability, and non-contact movement. TDG offers various types of LVDTs to customers

Laser Displacement Sensors
Laser-Based sensors measure the distance by sending a laser light beam towards the distant object. The main advantage of the laser displacement sensors is their capability to measure from a larger distance & with a non-contact technology. Main types are with and without a reflector. TDG presents these sensors especially for Structural Health Monitoring Projects in Bridges or other types of structures when the distance from the sensor to the measurement point displacing is high but the displacement(movement) range of the point is low.
